About the Program
The Biomedicine programme focuses on the sciences behind modern diagnosis and treatment: biochemistry, haematology, microbiology, immunology, histology and molecular genetics. Students learn to carry out laboratory tests and interpret their results, work to quality and safety standards, and develop research skills. The programme leads to work in medical laboratories, research centres and biotechnology companies, or to further study in medicine and postgraduate programmes. The bachelor's degree runs for 3 years and combines theory, practical work and projects, so graduates leave ready for work or for postgraduate study.
