Payment & Refund Policy
MAIGA Educational Services | ميغا للخدمات التعليمية
Last updated: October 2026We want every student to know their rights and obligations before registering. This policy is read together with the price quote and the registration form, and applies without prejudice to any mandatory laws in force.
First: payments and refunds through outside providers
1) Paying with Tamara — Tamara terms and conditions: tamara.co/ar-sa/terms-and-conditions
- Refunds follow Tamara's terms, and claims are made through the Tamara platform.
- Once the student has started studying and 3 days have passed, no amount is refunded.
- If the student claims after arriving at the institute and before 3 days have passed, 30% of the remaining fees is deducted and the rest is refunded to the student.
- Please make and follow up your claim through the Tamara platform. Maiga Golden does not refund any amount directly to the student or customer.
2) Paying with e-wallets
- Only e-wallets accepted by MAIGA can be used. Keep the transaction receipt and reference number.
- An approved refund goes back to the same wallet that paid, and is sent to another wallet or account only on the wallet owner's written request.
- Transfer or top-up fees charged by the wallet provider are not refunded, and the student bears any currency exchange difference.
- The time the money takes to arrive depends on the wallet provider. MAIGA's responsibility ends once the transfer is made and its proof is sent to the student.
- The refund cases in sections 2 and 3 apply.
3) Paying by bank transfer or bank card
- The student sends the transfer receipt in their own name or their guardian's. Work starts only once the money reaches the company's account.
- An approved refund goes back to the same bank account the transfer came from.
- Bank transfer fees, intermediary bank fees and exchange differences are not refunded; the student bears them both when paying and when refunded.
- Card payments are refunded to the same card; when it shows in the account depends on the issuing bank.
- The refund cases in sections 2 and 3 apply.
4) Paying Maiga Golden directly
- Amounts paid directly to Maiga Golden follow the refund cases in sections 2 and 3 of this policy.
- For Tamara payments, Maiga Golden does not refund the student directly; settlement goes through Tamara under its terms.
- Refund requests are made in writing with the payment receipt, as in section 10, and are refunded by the original payment method.
- The office fee (RM 650) is not refundable after the 14 days or once work on the service has started.
1. Services, registration and payment
MAIGA provides education consulting, applications to institutions, housing coordination, pre-departure guidance and follow-up, as set out in the price quote or registration form. Work starts after payment is confirmed or instalments are approved, and amounts due must be paid on time.
Where the student's price quote differs from this policy, the specific terms agreed in the quote apply, subject to mandatory laws and the policies of the independent parties involved.
Office fee: RM 650 (Malaysian ringgit).
2. When can a refund be requested?
The following applies to amounts paid through MAIGA, whether tuition fees or a seat booking:
| Case | What happens |
|---|---|
| Withdrawal within 14 days of payment only | The office fee (RM 650) is deducted and the booking amount is refunded in full. |
| Student visa refused by the Malaysian authorities | Nothing is refunded after payment, including the office fee and visa fees paid directly to the authorities. |
3. Housing
- Once the student signs a housing contract, they must complete its term; otherwise no amount paid is refunded.
- A housing booking deposit is not refunded if the booking is cancelled.
4. Cases that may not lead to a refund
Late documents, false or incomplete information, not meeting admission or visa requirements, returning home early for personal reasons, disrupting the process by working with other agents, or delays caused by parties outside MAIGA's control. Each case is considered on its actual cause, the agreement and the relevant laws.
5. Visa and travel
Granting or refusing a visa is the decision of the government authorities, and MAIGA does not guarantee a visa or passing an interview. A visa refusal does not in itself make fees for properly delivered services refundable.
- Paid with Tamara: Tamara's policy applies (see "First").
- Paid through MAIGA: section 2 applies.
6. Instalments with Tamara or others
- The instalment plan is a separate agreement between the student and the payment provider, under its schedule and terms.
- An approved refund goes back through the original payment route to the instalment provider, which settles it under its terms.
- The student keeps paying instalments due until the provider confirms they have been changed or closed.
- In a bank dispute, give correct information and do not claim the same amount twice. This policy does not limit any legal right to dispute.
7. Responsibility of MAIGA and institutions
MAIGA is an education consultant and intermediary and is responsible for the services it committed to deliver itself. Fees received directly by a university, institute or housing provider are not a debt owed by MAIGA just because MAIGA coordinated or registered. Each party's obligations follow its own contract, policies and the relevant laws. The limits of liability do not cover anything the law does not allow to be excluded, including fraud or gross negligence where applicable.
8. Student obligations and data
The student must give correct, up-to-date information, pay amounts due, and meet official deadlines and requirements. For a minor, a parent or legal guardian gives the needed approvals. MAIGA uses student data to deliver its services and contact the relevant parties, and the student can ask to stop marketing messages, under the data protection rules in force.
9. Exceptional circumstances
If events beyond reasonable control occur, such as disasters, airport closures or sudden government decisions, MAIGA will try to offer a suitable alternative, postpone the service for up to one academic year where possible, or cancel it and settle fees after accounting for work already done and allowed deductions.
10. How to request a refund or complain
- Send the request in writing to the official email: [email protected].
- Include the student's name, programme, institution and reason, with proof of payment and supporting documents.
- Complaints about a MAIGA service should be made within 7 days of that service where possible, and are reviewed within 14 working days.
- Deadlines count from the date the written request arrives. Once finally approved, the refund is made within 14 working days, plus the bank's or instalment provider's processing time.
11. Final provisions
The parties will try to settle any dispute amicably within 30 days of written notice. This policy is governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the competent courts of Kuala Lumpur hear disputes under the mandatory rules. Future changes apply to new requests after they are published and material changes are communicated to the student. Documented electronic correspondence is accepted as evidence as the law allows.
Completing registration and payment means the student has read and accepts this policy, without prejudice to their legal rights.
