An overview of arts and humanities majors๐
๐ Between science and the arts: think outside the box! ๐โจ
A common way of thinking prevails in our societies that we must work hard to change ๐, as it is widely said that prestigious standing in society is achieved only by studying a scientific major ๐งช๐ฉโ๐ฌ. But this belief is completely wrong! โ If it were true, why do we divide majors into categories: scientific, literary and technological? ๐ค
๐ฏ Why do we need a correct understanding of majors?
Many people believe that only those with high grades should join scientific majors ๐ฅผ, while those with average or low grades are left for the arts stream ๐. But this is mistaken thinking that deprives many people of choosing what they love and excel at ๐กโค๏ธ.
Does getting a 99% average mean that medicine is your only option? Of course not! Anyone can choose the field they feel they are good at and enjoy ๐จ๐.
๐ Why are arts majors important?
Unfortunately, there are countries and institutions that link a pupil's social standing to the type of major they take, which lowers the value of arts majors โ๏ธ. But did you know that arts majors are rich and full of beauty and diversity? ๐
You can delve into fields such as:
- ๐๏ธ History โ to understand the past and build the future
- ๐ Literature โ to develop human sensibility and artistic expression
- ๐ญ Philosophy โ to explore deep ideas and meanings
- ๐ Social sciences โ to understand societies and influence them positively
โค๏ธ A message to everyone thinking about an arts major
Never hesitate to choose an arts major if it is your passion ๐ฅ. Studying literature and the humanities opens up horizons for you to understand human, social, political and historical cultures ๐๏ธ๐.
You can be part of real change, and leave your mark on your community through knowledge and influence ๐ฌ๐ค.
โจ Summary
Arts majors are not of less value than scientific ones, but complement them in building a balanced and advanced society ๐. Let us work together to break stereotypes and encourage everyone to choose what they love and excel at ๐๐ช.
