About the Program
The Sustainable Development programme develops students' understanding of society, people and culture, and gives them the analysis, research and communication skills a wide range of careers require. Students study sociology, social psychology, history and civilisation, philosophy and ethics, social policy, social work, quantitative and qualitative research methods and academic writing. They learn to study contemporary social issues and propose evidence-based solutions. This PhD runs for 3 - 5 and is built on original research under academic supervision, preparing graduates for academic, research and senior advisory roles.

حتى عندما لا يكون التدريب المهني مقررًا إلزاميًا بصورة مستقلة، يستطيع طالب التنمية المستدامة تنمية خبرته من خلال المشروعات التطبيقية، الأنشطة الجامعية، العمل التطوعي، المسابقات، التدريب الصيفي أو التعاون مع جهة مهنية مناسبة. يساعد هذا النوع من الخبرة على ربط المعرفة النظرية بواقع العمل، وفهم المسؤوليات والأخلاقيات، وتحسين التواصل والعمل الجماعي وحل المشكلات. يُنصح الطالب ببناء ملف أعمال وتوثيق المشروعات والبحث مبكرًا عن تدريب مرتبط بالتخصص، مع التأكد من موافقة الجامعة ومتطلبات التأشيرة للطالب الدولي قبل بدء أي نشاط خارجي.
