About the Program
The Medical Biotechnology programme gives students a solid scientific foundation and the laboratory and research skills used in industry, healthcare, the environment and scientific research. Students study the core subjects of their field, from biology, chemistry and physics to mathematics and statistics, then specialise in areas such as biotechnology, analytical chemistry, environmental science or forensic science, with intensive laboratory training, data analysis and research methods. They graduate able to work in laboratories, industry and scientific bodies or to continue to postgraduate study. The bachelor's degree runs for 3 years and combines theory, practical work and projects, so graduates leave ready for work or for postgraduate study.
