UNIMAP
Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is Malaysia's seventeenth public higher education institution. Its establishment was approved by the Malaysian Cabinet in May 2001, starting out as a university college known as Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia (KUKUM). Its first intake of 116 engineering students began their studies in June 2002. In February 2007, KUKUM was upgraded to a full university and renamed Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), making it one of only four technical universities in Malaysia.
UniMAP was established with the primary goal of producing highly skilled engineers to support Malaysia's industrial master plan. Over the years, the university has remained true to this mission, striving to prepare outstanding individuals who contribute to national development and strengthen the competitiveness of the country's industrial sector.
